Polish Business Delegation Strengthens Ties with Rwanda
October 31, 2024, Kigali– A delegation from the Federation of Polish Entrepreneurs (FPP), composed by Chairman Marek Kowalski and Hon. Magdalena Rzeczkowska, Director of the FPP Brussels office, concluded a business-focused visit to Rwanda this week. The trip resulted in the signing of a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Private Sector Federation (PSF) of Rwanda, aimed at bolstering economic collaboration between the two countries.
The MoU, signed by Kowalski and PSF Chairperson Jeanne Francoise Mubiligi, sets forth plans to establish FPP and PSF offices in Kigali and Warsaw, respectively. These offices are intended to support bilateral trade and open new channels for business engagement and investment.
During their stay, the delegation paid tribute to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi at the Kigali Genocide Memorial and engaged with several Rwandan leaders, including Mutesi Rusagara, Minister of State for Public Investment, and Tony Kajangwe, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Discussions spanned opportunities in trade, finance, water and sanitation, and industrial development.
This visit underscores a strengthened Polish-Rwandan alliance, setting a foundation for future economic partnerships.
