KWIBOHORA31 CELEBRATED IN WARSAW, POLAND
On 4 July 2025, the Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda to the Republic of Poland, in collaboration with the Rwandan Community Abroad (RCA) – Poland, organized the celebration of the 31st Anniversary of Rwanda’s Liberation Day — Kwibohora31. The event was held at the Sheraton Grand Warsaw in Warsaw, Poland attended by various officials from the Government of Poland, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, private sector, academicians, friends of Rwanda and the Rwandan community in Poland.
The event featured a speech of Hon. Hon. Anna Radwan-Röhrenschef, the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, delivered on behalf of the Government of Poland underscoring that Rwanda’s story is an example of how a country can rise from the ashes of a genocide to be a model for social development globally. And that Poland is proudly cooperating with Rwanda in various sectors to contribute to Rwanda’s transformation journey.
In his keynote address, Ambassador paid tribute to Rwanda men and women, alive and gone, who made it possible. That now Rwanda is a country of resilience, innovation and transformation. He emphasized that “Rwanda is a peace loving country and desire to remain as such …” He thanked many friends and partners who stood by Rwanda in time of need and continue to contribute to the ongoing transformation journey.
The event was concluded by attendants celebrating Rwandan culture through traditional dances by Ballet Icyeza and sharing a celebration cocktail.
