On 5^th August 2025, H.E. Ambassador Prof. Anastase SHYAKA paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Michał Jaros, Secretary of State in the Polish Ministry of Economic Development and Technology. The meeting provided an opportunity for both officials to exchange views on strengthening bilateral cooperation, and economic diplomacy between Rwanda and Poland across a range of sectors. Both emphasized their satisfaction on the big increase noted in trade between both countries since last year. In 2024, Poland became one of top 10 trade partners of Rwanda and Rwanda recorded the highest growth rate of trade with Poland on the African continent.

Discussions focused on potential collaboration sectors such advanced technologies, construction, mining, food processing, taxation , and more. They also discussed on identifying practical mechanisms to deepen economic and developmental partnerships. Both parties underscored the importance of enhancing cooperation through private sector engagement and reaffirmed their commitment to leveraging opportunities that exist in both countries for mutual benefit.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to maintaining open dialogue and continued engagement aimed at advancing the common goals of Rwanda and Poland.
