On 13^th November 2025, Ambassador Prof. Anastase SHYAKA conducted a working visit to the Rzeszów region, where he met with Władysław Ortyl, Marshal of the Podkarpackie Region, and later participated in a panel discussion during the Podkarpackie Festival of Science and Innovation. The panel focused on global perspectives for sustainable development.

During their meeting, Ambassador SHYAKA and Marshal Ortyl explored avenues to strengthen cooperation, particularly in the field of education. They highlighted opportunities presented by the region’s key academic institutions notably Rzeszów University and Rzeszów University of Technology. The discussions also touched on ways to enhance investment collaboration to further advance mutually beneficial partnerships.

Later, Ambassador SHYAKA participated in the Podkarpackie Festival of Science and Innovation, an event dedicated to inspiring young people to pursue and develop their talents, especially in STEM fields. Speaking on the panel titled “A Common Planet – Common Challenges – Different Perspectives: How to Develop Responsibly?”, he shared Rwanda’s experience in promoting sustainable and inclusive development, emphasizing the country’s use of Home Grown Solutions, innovation, and strategic partnerships to build a resilient and prosperous economy.
