AMBASSADOR COURTESY CALL TO HEAD OF FOREIGN SERVICE AT POLAND’S MFA
On 14th February 2025, Ambassador Prof. Anastase Shyaka paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Rafał Wiśniewski, Head of Foreign Service and Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland. Their discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Rwanda and Poland and regional security developments, particularly the situation in Eastern DRC.
Among the key areas of cooperation discussed was education, where both parties acknowledged the significance of existing scholarship programs. Through the Banach and Zawadzki programs, Rwandan students pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees were awarded full scholarships to Polish technical universities for the 2024/2025 academic year.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Piotr Kobielski, Deputy Director of International Cooperation, Fred Muvunyi, First Secretary, and Mr. Nelson Mubiligi, Executive Assistant to the Ambassador.
The discussions concluded with both parties reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
