Kwibohora 30 - Poland: Theme: “Rwanda’s Journey Continues”

On 31st July 2024, the Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda to Poland Celebrated the 30th anniversary of Liberation – Kwibohora30, Under the theme “Rwanda’s Journey Continues”.

The celebration was graced by the presence of Hon. Minister Andrzej Szejna Secretary of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Guest of honour, and other officials from the Polish Government, members of the Rwandan Community in Poland, friends of Rwanda from all walks of life including Academia and Business community leaders, and members of the Diplomatic corps accredited to the Republic of Poland.  Over 250 participants attended the event

In his address, Amb Shyaka Anasatse highlighted Rwanda's remarkable journey over the last 30 years:   said: ‘Today, Rwanda has a lot to celebrate. In the last 30 years, we’ve recorded incredible achievements in social, political and economic landscape of our country.  We have successfully invested in Unity of our people & security of our country. Results are beyond any doubt. We conquered dignity for our people and pathways to prosperity.   As HE President Paul KAGAME says, [..Today we are a nation transformed in heart, mind and body" (end of quote). We are confident that the next generation of these young Rwandan youth, will carry forward the assignment to ensure protection and sustainability of gains. 

Minister and Guest of Honor Quote:  The Guest of honor , Hon Minister Andrzej Szejna said : "I visited Rwanda In February 2024 , I can personally attest to the accuracy of these developments. When I had the pleasure of visiting Rwanda in February this year, I saw outstanding results of reconciliation and progress. Rwanda has achieved so much in recent years, not only in terms of the economy, including digital technologies and urbanization moving towards smart cities, but also in the social and educational areas. Your country is sometimes referred to as "Singapore of Africa." I am glad that cooperation with Poland can contribute to this success.
